Flying Snails.

We have a veggie patch in our back garden, it is my pride and joy. Every day I spend time in the patch watching for seeds to sprout, looking at growth in the plants, and hunting for snails.

Unfortunately we have had a huge number of snails in our veggie patch and this has annoyed me a great deal. The seedlings I buy at shop go into the ground and the next day I find only half remain. Each day I spend some time hunting for the beasts, looking under rocks, inside plants, and under big leaves.

Most days I find a few snails and being fairly lazy I just throw them over the back fence. There are no homes behind our block, just a big stretch of parkland... no one ever uses it, unless occasionally to walk their dogs. If they were walking their dogs each morning it wouldn't take long for them to one day catch a glimpse of flying snails. They travel miles with a good throw - it must be hilarious!!! But the not so funny thing is, some of these beasts return.

I am not sure how but I am convinced some of these snails find their way back into my garden and continue where they left off - eating all my vegetables. Maybe my throwing is not as strong as it should be..maybe I should stop being lazy and dispose of them properly and once for all. If they are removed and sent away to the local tip then they would not be able to return.

A half-effort attempt at removing beasts will not always be successful. I guess if you want to remove something it will need to be done correctly otherwise things return to how they used to be, within time.

Big changes require big efforts.

Blessings,

Akita.

Matthew 12 v 43+44

"When an evil spirit comes out of a man,
it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it.
Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.'
When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order."
