Watering.

Australia is a very dry country, and as Spring is fully here I have started using a watering can when watering my veggie seedlings. We are trying to delay the use of sprinklers until it gets very hot, so at the moment I am using a watering can - to save some water.

This week I noticed something interesting in the veggie patch that caught my attention. Where I have placed my plants I have made a small ditch around them so when I water them, the water does not run away, so the plant gets enough liquid. In these few ditches I have just noticed that many little seedlings have emerged from the soil... seeds that must have already been in the earth but have only just come in contact with the water and now sprouting.

It makes me wonder that there is no doubt hundred of seeds in the earth waiting for the water to fall upon them or near them... and because I placed a plant near them and water it, they also have life. Maybe you have a few people you regularly sow into/build up... well I am sure that if they are growing well then others around them will also prosper. I am now looking forward to Summer and the sprinklers going and covering the whole veggie patch and then watching to see what emerges.

So, watch the area where you are watering, as there may be by-products also coming to life when they come in touch with what good stuff you pour out.

Blessings,

Akita.

Isaiah 55 v 10+11

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
