Lots Of Flowers.

Wandering through my veggie patch this afternoon I decided to inspect the cucumber seedlings and count how many baby cucumbers are growing.

There were many yellow flowers on the plants but only two or three actual cucumber growing. I felt a bit ripped off, as there were heaps of flowers + potential and I assumed there must be heaps of produce from the amount of flowers. Wrong.

Not every flower turns into a cucumber.. I don't know the full science of it but there seems to be two types of flowers, some that pollinate and others that have the potential to grow. Bit frustrating because with all the flowers you would think heaps of growth would be occurring.

Each flower has it's part to play + I must learn not to expect too much from them, things take time, and eventually some of these flowers will blossom and produce fruit. Amen.

BV Youth - Term 4 is nearly finished, so make sure you attend the last few official events. During the summer holidays we will take a break from regular events... so watch this space + read your church bulletin for upcoming get-togethers.

ROC 11+ - Next ROC 11+ activity on Sunday the 10th of December. Bring some food, friends, questions, and praise points. Don't forget that it is back at the Olsen's home. We will be having pizza + salad.. bring a pizza with u!!!

Prayer - every Sunday afternoon, 5-6pm @ church.

Car Rally - THIS FRIDAY: 8th Dec, starting @ Bunbury Vineyard carpark + ending at a mystery place for bbq, very social, all welcome to attend this youth ... so don't miss it!!!! Come along. $5 ea, bbq + can of cool drink included. Get a car, some petrol + mates and be there at 6pm. Starting @ 6pm and finishing @ 9pm .... @ For all aged youth! Wait for further instructions!

prayer: for the team from Oxygen going to Tanzania in Feb 2007. Prayer for safety, funds, opportunities, effectiveness...etc.

praise Him praise Him: Last month we had confirmation that we were successful in receiving a $3,000 grant from the Bunbury Recreation Entertainment Centre, for the Oxygen March music/rally planned. Thank you Lord..... with providing us favour, and assisting us since we took a step of faith + action.... you are amazing!

prayer request: for protection + financial support for a local youth named Joanne. Jo feels called to attend and serve in an upcoming YWAM mission. She has asked for prayer for safety as well as assistance financially, for the Summer of Service mission to Thailand in January 2007, with YWAM. If you would like further info on this please email myself. Thanks.

prayer: for the huge Battle of the Bands rally planned for Bunbury young people in March 2007. Prayer for the working team of this project. Prayer for acceptance into local high schools, tafes, and local uni. Prayer for sponsors to respond positively to requests.
