Travel Tip - Be Relaxed.
During our stay in Koh Samui we stayed at a wonderful resort, which had a pool right on the beach. This pool was so beautiful, you could see the beach and mountains from it.
Swimming in a pool is nice, but floating in a pool on a holiday is the best feeling.
While
trying to float and relax in the pool I remebered something from swimming lessons during childhood: that you can not completely relax/float properly unless your head is completely back - not looking or watching.
You must face the sky, so you can not see the pool, your legs, or what is going on. With the smallest doubt that may slip into your head it will make the floating impossible... this got me thinking about the floating/trust concept.
When you see someone else in the pool float, it is encouraging, you see the theory in action, it boasts your faith. John 20 v 29: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
We need to stop tinting situations.. coloured by our own past failures, but to see the promises given to us by GOD. We have to trust words/theory/faith more than our own feelings/fears. Trust does costs! With trust you are vulnerable and may lose a lot (high risk) but also gain a lot.
The smallest doubt that enters your head will make you sink... what we believe is terribly important. Don't go under.
Blessings,
Akita.
