In Season.
Recently while in the veggie patch I was complaining to my husband how I miss growing the bright coloured vegetables, and that all the winter veggies are all green and not as sweet.
I miss growing strawberries... but now growing Brusselsprouts. Don't get me wrong, these winter veggies are good for you, but the spring and summer fruits are extremely sweet.
I wish it was spring... but it is not... and my annoyingly wise husband reminded me that it is not ... and I should work with the seasons. If it is winter then be happy to
work with winter veggies.
Am I looking forward to spring... yes... to be honest with you. But I will endeavor to maximize the current season of winter, be thankful for all the rain and understand that it is needed in order for spring to be successful and provide pleasant fruit/harvest.
Are you working with the seasons of life or are you fighting them and going against the grain? Is there something we can learn from the desert times or only in the perfect times?
Growing with you,
Akita.
