Small Things.
Last week, in my veggie patch I have been pulling out old winter plants
and replacing them with fresh new seedlings. While pulling out an old
pak-choy plant I noticed it had some pods on it from where it flowered.
I opened up the pods to find many seeds inside. So I spent a few minutes
sitting down harvesting all the little seeds from the pods.
The seeds were tiny, about three times the size of a single grain of sand.
While holding these seeds in my hand I couldn't help but think, how marvelous
it is that from a small thing a plant could grow from it. Fascinating!
Just amazing to see the seeds roll around in your hand and understand
they could be something very powerful.
Easily overlooked are most small things/deeds... maybe that's why small
things are affective. They are so small it gets through people's defenses/blocks.
It is amazing how far a cake, or a comment, or a smile can go when you
give it to someone. Little things.
Never give up sewing seeds - things, even small ones, can grow into something
big.
Blessings,
Akita.

Isaiah 55 v 10+11
As the rain and the snow come down
from heaven,
and do not return to it without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish, so that it yeilds seed for the sower
and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
