You Are Needed - part 2.

This week, I was on a school camp in Boranup Forest. On the one of the nights we took all the students to do some caving. We visited Giants Cave, which took us an hour and a half to complete. It was very exciting and we had a great time.

Because we had such a large group of students there were not enough powerful torches for everyone. So I went without a cave torch and just carried my tiny mini-mag torch in my pocket.

During the cave walk there was one point where we all turned off our torches, for an experiment. It was extremely dark. I waved my hand in front of my face and I saw nothing. I was looking/staring so hard that at one point I wasn't even sure if my eyes were open. Darkness is very dark...but it is broken with the smallest of lights.

A small torch is better than no torch! That night I didn't care if I had less powerful torch, I just needed one. It got me thinking that when you are in need of a vessel or light or guidance or help... when you get to that point of need: power, fancy decorations, or designer labels no longer matter. The important thing is that the need gets addressed. If people are stumbling around in the darkness, someone needs to turn on their tiny mini-mag light and show the way, show where they are, show what's available, or where to head - truth needs to come out and shine.

I used my small torch a lot that night, and I would of had heaps of issues without it... the paths were slippery, lumps/stumbling blocks in the way... life is like that sometimes. If you have a powerful caving torch; turn it on, if you have a tiny mini-mag torch; turn it on.

Don't have to be fancy, people just need to be available - you are needed.

Blessings,

Akita.

"No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed.
Instead, he puts it on a stand,
