Rotten Fruit.

For the past 5 weeks my fig tree has been producing a lot of fruit. Figs are tricky to harvest as unlike apples, you have to pick exactly when it is ripe not two days before and not two days after or it will be too soggy and flies will infect.
So there is only a small window of opportunity available to pick the fruit, and not all are ripe at the same time.

So my fig tree needs a constant watch over all the fruit to view which is ripe or not. This requires daily effort which I have not been able to spare/do recently... hence many over ripened fruit have fallen to the ground, which is a waste, and creates an awful smell.

The fruit/work is there, but the time/workers are few. This reminds me of an old saying: Many hands make light work. There is a lot of sadness out there in our own communities/backyards, there are many who desire to know there is hope and require support. If we all do a bit, then a lot can get done.

If there were many in my family that would help look out for ripening fruit then there wouldn't be the waste, and a bad smell in my own backyard.

We all have different qualities, we are all different parts, but we belong to the one body. If all parts are working, then good stuff will get done.

Can I encourage you to play your part, and understand you are important and needed.

Walking with you,

Akita.
