Avoid the Potholes.
My drive to work each morning takes me on some interesting roads. I enjoy taking the route which leads me past a local inlet. The only issue with this route is some of the roads are not in great condition, they have a few potholes, and there are certain areas that fill with large puddles with rain. These things can be a hazard on your journey.
When I first traveled on these roads I accidentally drove into some very large puddles resulting in my car becoming effected by water in its engine and spluttering around for the next 30 minutes. I do not like it when my little car splutters around... it feels like it is going to cut out at anytime and you feel like being stranded/stuck is about to come upon you.
Now I avoid large puddles as best as I can. I also know the venerable areas of the road that these issues may occur. So I now look out for them and avoid them as best as possible. Another car in front of me drives right thorough the puddle, but I know it and have positioned myself a meter further to the side to avoid it.
Some vehicles can drive through large puddles or into potholes with little effect or drama - but for others the effects can be big. What makes one stumble may not be a snag for another. This got me thinking that with our own life/journey there are things that may be potholes/temptations/hazards for each of us... and if we have knowledge about what they are and where they may surface then we can keep a close eye on that.
Watch where you place your feet, know where you are vulnerable and if you have the resources fix the pothole or if not then at least be aware of the snags and avoid.
