Hi, Akita here - wishing you all Seasons Greetings!

Figs, Figs, and More Figs.

Now is the season for figs. Our tree is full of ripe figs and all need to be devoured as soon as possible before parrots and flies arrive.

For a long time there has been some fruit but all very small and hard... now is its season... it is now full of soft, large ripe fruit. There are so many I have to give buckets away to my friends, they seem to all become ripe within only a few weeks... so there is a mass of them at once. This is not very convenient... as I would prefer to have a steady flow of figs throughout the year ... but it doesn't work like that.... "fruit on demand".......(although Jesus did tell a fig tree off for not having ripe fruit for him).... I have to wait till it is its season.

There is a time for everything and sometimes great growth or fruitfulness is in a season.... this one or the next season coming. Nothing is wasted... even when the branches have no leaves or fruit buds visable, there is a time for that baroness, and it is essential for the next season.

BV Youth - Term 4 is now finished. During the summer holidays we will take a break from regular events... so watch this space + read your church bulletin for upcoming get-togethers.

Prayer - every Sunday afternoon, 5-6pm @ church.

Sunday Night Christmas Carols - 6:30pm @ the Shell in town... come along.. free sausage sizzle starting at 5pm... see you there... I will be wearing shorts the same colour as this email - you will see me!!!!

prayer: for the team from Oxygen going to Tanzania in Feb 2007. Prayer for safety, funds, opportunities, effectiveness...etc.

prayer request: for protection + financial support for a local youth named Joanne. Jo feels called to attend and serve in an upcoming YWAM mission. She has asked for prayer for safety as well as assistance financially, for the Summer of Service mission to Thailand in January 2007, with YWAM. If you would like further info on this please email myself. Thanks.

prayer: for the huge Battle of the Bands rally planned for Bunbury young people in March 2007. Prayer for the working team of this project. Prayer for acceptance into local high schools, tafes, and local uni. Prayer for sponsors to respond positively to requests.
