Hi, Akita here - keep smiling.

Watching Seeds Grow.

Was in my veggie patch this week, sitting on the path that divides it, staring at the soil - examining the seeds that have just sprouted. There are many baby seedlings that have just self seeded/emerged, it is amazing.

Unfortunately they seem to all be very close to one another... this is fine for a little while, they support each other, but very soon when they grow I will need to move/transplant them so they each have room + are in the right spot for their design.

Some will need a fence to climb on, some need a lot of sunshine, others may need to be staked, some need more room than others, and some may need to be placed next to a companion plant for the best result. Some may even have to be placed in a different patch, as I may not have room for it or it is too big to be confned.

This reminded me that we as Christians need to have enough space, sun-light, or otherwise we may suffocate. As Christians + leaders we need to be aware of others' growth, giftings, requirements, and place them in the best place we can for them to flourish and bear much fruit.

Gardening tip: If you don't provide peas/beans/passionfruit with a fence to climb, it may climb on the ground and attach itself to other plants and will strangle them. If nothing is provide for them to take over then they may take over something else.

As a gardener we may need to move some of these "up and coming" plants, and place them next to the right companion/stake/fence that they need to grow strong and produce. If we didn't move any seedlings then there would be mass suffocation and maybe none of the plants would reach their full potenital.

Don't be afraid of a bit of movement, and remember that being in the right place towards the beginning may save you from a total transplant later on - causing great stress.

Blessings,

Akita.
