Travel Tip - Be Open Minded.

We just returned home from traveling in South East Asia. During our time away I learnt a lot, and have a few traveling tips I hope to share with you over the next few weeks.

One day we were on our way to Singapore Zoo, and we were traveling on public transport. After catching a train to Ang Mo Kio station, we had to get off and search for the 139 bus that goes straight to the zoo. Sounds simple enough.

After arriving at the station we asked an attendant where to go to find the 139 bus. The worker was very helpful and explained to us that the bus would be found at the local bus station, in the shopping centre just over the road. So we crossed the road and headed into the shopping centre.

Once inside the building it looked like a normal shopping centre to us, my husband saw some busses drive past outside and suggested we get out of the shopping centre and go outside to look. Busses are not normally inside shops, all the ones we have seen are outside... so of course this must be the case.

We were wrong, there was no bus station outside and after suffering in the humid weather a kind local re-directed us to the station: inside the shopping centre. This local man, kindly walked with us all the way to the correct bus stop to make sure we actually got there. What we would of done without the man's help I am not sure. People will not always be able to lead you by the hand, when you head off in new directions. We need to be a little more open and think out side of our own box.

If something seems a little unusual, it doesn't mean you can automatically rule it out. God is very creative and He may do something in a different way then you had imagined - as it is often the case.

If you are not open minded then you may miss the bus.
