Hi, Akita here - another tale from the garden. Reproducing. At the front of my house we have planted these groovy purple plants, all the same variety. It was done so they all look the same and is supposed to appear very smart... well that was the idea. I was out there yesterday and could clearly see that one of the plants wasn't as tall or glamorous as the others.... a bit disappointed... so I went closer to inspect.. maybe a bug was eating it and taking all is goodness away. On closer inspection of the plant I could see why it wasn't as tall as the others, it had a few babies growing by it's base of the stalk. Although the other plants looked glamorous none had reproduced. Out of the 20 plants this was the only one. The others though attractive as they are, had spent no energy of theirs on reproducing. It is a tricky situation... do you pour yourself to grow others or are you tempted to keep all the goodness for your own growth? Some people are great leaders/teachers/coaches in their own right, but if they are not raising up other great leaders/teachers/coaches in their footsteps.. then it becomes limiting. I love the concept of reproduction with spiritual mentoring
or leadership. Growing with others beside you... sewing into their lives.
I am happy to spend less time on myself looking glamorous and pour that
effort into other younger crew. I don't want to be a fancy bush that stands
alone, I wish to have others growing beside me... a legacy that impacts
and lives on. Blessings, Akita. |
