More Rubbish.
We live on a busy road which has benefits; as everyone
in town knows where your road is when you tell them the name, and it is
easy to get too places as you are on a main road. There are also negative
things; like traffic noise, speeding cars, and regular rubbish thrown
out on your front lawn.
We often go for walks around our neighbourhood and have realised that
the litter distribute is not even. In fact it appears that not many people
have rubbish thrown on their lawns, just mainly the people on the large
busier roads.
It reminds me of a saying I once heard that the more sheep you have
in your pen, the more manure you will have. This is funny but a true
principle that can be used in many areas of our lives and communities;
both churched and un-churched.
There is a need to be aware of what environment we are in and expect/understand
the level of mess that goes with that. You maybe a professional cleaner
and work in different areas; one day you could be cleaning a small business
office and the next day you could be cleaning out bins at a local high
school where over one thousand students attend... one should not be suprised
that the more traffic or people we encounter may also amount to more rubbish
and mess and dramas..etc
Have you heard of the saying: if you don't like the heat, then get
out of the kitchen.... I like this. Some people love the heat and
love to be where the action is.. but we must remember that where the action
is maybe mess and where all the people are then there is lots of manure
too.
The moral of the story is if you can not survive with rubbish on your
lawn or you can not cope with peoples dramas then you may be living on
the wrong street. I am happy to live where I do, I enjoy being in the
thick of it all - there is lots of mess but there are also lots of opportunities
to help and get stuff done.
Blessings,
Akita.

1Peter 5 v 2
Be shepherds of God's flock that is
under your care, serving as overseers -
not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to
be;
not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those
entrusted to you, but by being examples to the flock.
