One Verses One Hundred.

On our television at the moment is a quiz show called "One Verses One Hundred". The concept of the program is for one person to take part in a quiz against 100 people. There are many rounds of questions and the contestant has to try to knock out all the 100 people by always answering correctly and hoping the 100 do not.

This is an interesting show and what makes it fascinating is the obvious unfair odds - as it is against you out-smarting 100 of your peers. The show has many viewers as most people are keen to see how far the contestant can go. I don't think anyone has been totally successful, if they did all would remember. People remember when someone beats great odds.. it becomes headlines - no one forgets those events.

Maybe the show should be one verses ten, one seems so small compared to 100... 100 is a big number ... not sure about just the one... one can be easily overlooked as weak and unusable to our eyes. But when I recall great bible stories what clearly stands out is how our God never sees "one" as insignificant.

When fighting the Philistines with only a donkey's jaw Samson killed 1000, he was just one man. Esther, one woman played a vital role in saving a whole race/nation. Joseph, one person who directed the storing of grain so when famine came nations survived. There are many other stories that illustrate that with God, one can be very powerful, important, and vital. One person can make a great change.

Have you ever asked yourself "who am I .. I am just one person"... well that is not a worthy excuse, it just makes the whole contest/journey more interesting. The more crazier the concept is, or the harder odds like 1 vs 100 - well it will make a great show... and people will be watching.

Blessings,

Akita.

For if you remain silent at this time,
relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place,
but you and your father's family will perish.
And who knows but that you have come to a royal position
